I LOVE peanut butter. I eat it on everything...really I do.
Have you ever thought about making your own? I never did.
We have really changed the way we eat but it does require a bit more money at times. If I can make it then we can save $$$. I LOVE making nut butter because it's so easy, better tasting, and of course healthier.
My mother's day gift was this beauty. A food processor. Maybe you have one. Maybe you've had it in your closet for 5 years because you don't know what to make with it. Now you can try it out.
I mean look at how creamy and delicious it looks. My face says, "Why would I ever buy peanut butter again?"
You want to just lick the bowl right!?
Well enough of this torture....here is the SIMPLE recipe for you to enjoy for yourself!
HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER (Yields ~12 oz.)
*3 C organic unsalted, dry roasted peanuts (I buy in bulk at Fred Meyer)
*1/4-1/2 tsp. salt
*1 Tbsp. pure cane sugar (optional)
1. Add nuts to food processor.
2. Turn on and scrape bowl as necessary until smooth + creamy (~10-15 min.)
3. Add salt and sugar slowly, process, then taste test. Repeat until desired taste is reached.
*If you like chunky peanut butter just stir in some chopped nuts.
THAT. IS. ALL.
Almond butter, cashew butter, pecan butter, it's endless...yeah we are having fun with this!
Have a great weekend. Love to all! xoxo

Nice work!
that looks yummy and amazing and i am totally going to try it! peanut butter has got to be THE best food even invented!!
What a coincidence, I got the same gift for Mother's Day, and I was dying to get one so we could make our own Coconut butter! Your PB looks great, I'm going to have to try it!
(fyi, coconut butter is made by just processing dried/dehydrated unsweetened coconut for about 10 minutes. That's it. But, I'm going to add some sugar next time to change it up.)
