March Date

We started our night with some dinner from Tree City Smoothie. Here's our shout-out for GROUPON...we got 2 wraps and 2 bags of chips for $5.00! And it was delicious and healthy :) Always a bonus.

Wheat grass anyone?

Doug's mouth is so giant.

Savoring the yumminess!

Then it was off to a game of bowling. But not just any game...

Let’s guess what our scores will be.
Marilyn:102
Doug: 80

We need to assign a romantic value to each strike and spare we get.
Spare: Hug
Strike: Kiss
Turkey: Shoulder rub...none of these happened :(

Assign different styles of bowling for the color of M & M we pick out of the bag.

Green: Granny style
Yellow: Left-handed
Brown: Eyes closed
Red: Backwards granny
Orange: Your choice
Blue: Regular
Make up some fun names to write in:
Marilyn: Dusty Bottoms
Doug: McDougal Verde

We were both wrong on our estimates..but not too shabby for some funky bowling! A bag of M & M's will now be a must for bowling...it was so fun and tasty as well. Note to self: Need a bigger bag next time!

Our Day

Today it was a bit cloudy and I knew there would be rain but we tried the park with some friends anyway. After 30 minutes a huge black cloud covered us and we hightailed it to my house just in time for the rain/hail to start. I love to see what the playroom looks like after a play group has attacked! I'm always amazed at how kids can play around/in a huge mess.

During naps I decided to sew the curtains for the playroom. I've had the fabric sitting upstairs since September. Sheesh! I love this fabric though! Now we'll see how long it takes me to hang them up! Then the munchkin and I went for a shopping trip for groceries while Allie played at her cousins house.

Doug had a training Monday-today and Cafe Rio was on the way home so I suckered him into bringing that home for dinner. I always love a good Pork Salad and easy clean-up! Dinner was followed by Doug cutting up some pineapple for dessert while Allie tried out our new spelling game. It was a hit! Snuggles with Katelyn in the blanket happened soon after.

Drums and dancing {rockin' out} It's too bad I don't have the patience to load a video on here. We have some killer moves around here!

Then I headed off to Young Women. We were able to help a family clean their house before moving. We also had Peep Smores which were amazing and "Egged" someone's house. :)
Came home and Doug ran off to home teach.

Ah, good night. I hope you had a good day!!

Young Women

I love my calling! I serve in the Young Women in our ward. I get to work with the most amazing girls and leaders. They strengthen my testimony of Christ and are such wonderful examples of faith, love, virtue, integrity, and so much more. I am so grateful for them. Plus we have a ton of fun together!!
They will be making future appearances here on the blog...

Rainbow Bday

Allie got a bike for her birthday! It's pink and purple with a bell, which is every girls dream. It was only $3, which was our dream! She helped pump up the tires and was a tad reluctant to try it at first. But now she is riding around all the time and loves it!

My friend Natalie inspired me to do a rainbow party. She had one for her daughter and I loved her easy, cute cake. Allie was on board the minute I mentioned it to her!
Allie sorted all the M & M's for the cake. Talk about focus...she was very serious about her job.
Thank you Pinterest for cheap, easy decorating ideas.

My fruit rainbow didn't look very good, but it tasted great!
This salad is the most amazing one I've ever tried. I think it has changed my life. Doug seconds that!
The spread. Santa Rosa Chicken Salad, Pizza, Turkey Pesto Sliders, Veggie and Fruit trays, Chips. I think she can have a birthday every week just so we can eat like this!
 Loving all her awesome presents!
Rainbow Cake

4 candles...I can't get over that!
Enjoying the cake...every single bite!
Cousins with their rainbow water. I just dyed ice cubes and their water turned colors. That was their favorite part of the whole party! I have heard since that you can freeze Kool-aid cubes. That would have been cooler! Next time...
Doug's whole family made it to her party!! It was awesome!

My parents surprised her and came up too! She is one lucky, loved little (big) girl!!

Fire Station!

Allie's preschool field trip for March was to the Fire Station. The kids were so excited. Allie was scared of everything at first and then realized how cool it was! Sadly, I had Katelyn there with me and she didn't want to be held or sit in her stroller, so she screamed and fussed 99% of the time. It was not very enjoyable for me. Next time, she stays home. She'll have her turn when she's in preschool. Ughh, it was really hard with her there. Anyway, moving on...
The fire pole. The kids thought that was awesome!
Allie telling the fireman what was in the back of the truck...WATER! He told us they hold 750 gallons of water. I had no idea!!
I was so happy that there was a firewoman there. She took Allie into the back of the truck because Allie was scared. This warmed her right up!
She's showing Allie a camera that can see through smoke and dark, I think. :) Again, I was trying to tame the wild one.
Showing us how they get all dressed for a fire.

 Done!

The helmet looked so hysterical on Allie!

Finally brave enough to sit in the front seat!

I could drive this thing!

The tire is bigger than she is.
The Boise State Fire Truck

Getting their own fire helmets.

FUN STUFF!!
