this little girl turns four

This sweet, sassy, intense girl turned four this year! I can't believe it. She keeps us laughing and on our toes all the time! She got cowgirl boots and a hat this year so she had to show them off!

We had a family celebration for Ryan and Katelyn

That colorful frosting was just too irresistable. While we were outside, a particular little, sampled her cake early. Never was there a guiltier face. 

It takes a lot of concentration for her to show 4 fingers!! It's super cute.

My first time teaching Katelyn and her little friends we learned the letter D.

Joy School!

Four of my friends and I are doing a little co-op joy school this year with our 3 year olds. We rotate each week so we each get a chance to teach and then have 4 weeks where they go to other houses. It's just a fun, special thing for them and it's fun to be a part of it. Katelyn was ecstatic to have her own thing to go to. She is feeling very grown-up. 

Her first day was special because Nan and Pa had stayed the night and they took us to Kneader's that morning. Now, that's a great start to the day!

These are pictures I will cherish forever. She was so excited and this is how she showed it!! So cute!

 My friend, Serena taught the first day. They came in and she was reading a story. They had a paper with their picture to color. 

 Then it was circle time and she found her mat right away! I don't know if she stayed on it long....

 Her job was the Weather Woman. So she got to sing the song and choose what the weather was...she chose Sunny :)

And then I left, but I could have stayed the entire time. I teach next week so I'm excited for that!

What a big girl!

KM's 1st Haircut!

I did it. I finally got the guts to give Katelyn a little trim. I was so nervous that her curls would be ruined...but they are still bouncing and as beautiful as always. She was very unsure about it at first and then couldn't stop laughing!! Silly girly!

Katelyn: 3

She's 3 and none of us can believe it! What a special little lady we have. She is my sweet/sassy girl.

She is intense about everything in life. Whether she's happy, sad, mad, excited, cold, hot, tired, you name it, she will give it everything she has. You will never wonder how she's feeling, you will always know! 

She has NO fear. 

She loves to swing and can pump herself.

She loves to swim and put her head under the water over and over again.

She loves gum and snacks.

She regularly falls and/or gets hurt. And loves bandaids.

She loves "shows."

She is just a tiny little munchkin.

She has natural curly, curly hair that I just can't seem to cut.

She loves to dress up, sing, and play music.

She does everything Allie does.

She always want to listen to books and memorize them.

She loves animals.

She is starting to tell stories that somewhat make sense.

She wants to do everything on her own. She is very independent.

She fights and yells at us most of the day.

She runs on her little toes and it's super cute.

We love this little darling!

Visitors & The Little Bug Turns 3

Doug's parents came over on Thursday night to see Katelyn and give her lots of birthday love! We went to eat at Carino's and loved having them back in Boise!

The girl's made their Pa's some fabulous, blinging ties for Father's Day.

My parents came on Friday and we went out to PF Chang's sans kids.

We went to Monster's University and saw this cool snail to sit on

Then we had Katelyn's birthday party. My parents, Ben, Mattie and the kids made it to the party. We had dinner, cupcakes, popsicles, and played at the park, mostly on the splash pad. It was a perfect day to be out and we all had a blast!

When she opened our gift we went straight for the gum!

She made sure she gave everyone there a great hug!

And had no problem eating every last crumb!
