Christmas

These are out of order but it's all good. We hope you had a memorable Christmas. We had such a great one with Doug's family. We didn't have to travel which made it nice. The girls were so good and loved every minute of it.

Allie showing off her presents. Lucky girl I'd say! In case you're wondering: she did get "lipstick." It's Santa Dora lipstick, cherry flavored! Not pictured: Play-doh Ice Cream Maker, Outside Kitchen, her stocking, and a Zu-Zu Pet.

Sweet Katelyn and Mommy
Look at those buff Green boys and Katelyn's reindeer bum!
And the cute Green girls

We got pictures of the cousins all together in their PJ's from Nan and Pa but we didn't have our camera. So we will post that one when we get it. I'm sure it's good :)

Merry Christmas Everyone, Ho, Ho, Ho

That is what Allie has been saying all month. Doug had a work party a couple of weeks ago and Santa was there with Mrs. Clause. We pretty much knew she wasn't going to sit on his lap. I explained in the car that she got to ask him for something that sh
e really wanted. So I let her think for a few minutes and then asked her. Her response, "Lipstick." I'm sure that jolly old St. Nick can handle that one. So we get to the party and she watches kids for 30 minutes (no joke) and every time we tell her it's her turn she says, "I'll let them go first." Finally Doug picked her up and put her on his lap. She just stared at him!!! I told her to ask for something and in her softest whisper she told him, "Lipstick." Then she gets down and looks panicked. She started yelling, "Lipstick, lipstick, lipstick." She was a little confused. She thought he was going to give it to her right then. Confusion is over and we'll see if shegets the lipstick she so badly wants for Christmas.

Katelyn was a little champ. She sat on both of their laps. However, she didn't take her eyes off of mama for one second!!
We hope you have all been good this year!
Merry Christmas

Watch Out Jane Fonda

I am a home video junkie. If you grew up with me you know this...you may have even starred in some of my movies :) It's so fun to be silly and it's free, family, fun entertainment. There's nothing better!

Well the other night we got ourselves a good one! We were making Christmas goodies as a family. When we finished we had some music on and Allie grabbed the Boppi (a pillow I use for nursing) and started "workin' out." Who knew that pillow had so many uses!? Allie has a lot of work out moves and you'll be very impressed. You may want to purchase her work out video for your own use!! :)
We had Katelyn in the swing whilst making goodies and she tuckered right out. You'll notice the toy she was playing with is still in her mouth and she has one sock off. She slept through the entire thing. Haha, classic!

Katelyn Things

Katelyn hasn't had her own post in a long time. She is due for one.

She has been eating Rice Cereal. Doesn't like but somehow we force it down her. Yesterday however she tried carrots. Yum, those are much better.
She has been sleeping day and night very well. We took the binky away early to see what would happen. She does great. Now she won't even take it.
She won't eat from a bottle (spoiled I tell ya!) but it's okay for now.
She will be 6 months {that's 1/2 a year in case you didn't know} next week. WHAT!? That makes me so sad.

Sweet girl. {Love you}

Oh Christmas Tree

Doug's parents bought a 12 foot tree to go with their house since it has vaulted ceilings. Because we are living here right now they let us use the tree. It's amazing. It fits in this house so well!
My parents got the girls matching Christmas dresses. They are beautiful.

Gorgeous tree + Beautiful girls = Perfect Christmas pictures.
{Except for the lighting, it was all off. I guess you can't have everything!}
I love them. I love Christmas.

King and Queen of Wall-Sits

They could do this through the whole season and I can barely last a minute. My work is holding a competition to challenge employees not to gain more than 2 pounds during this holiday season. I signed up and weighed in. I partially did it because you get entered in a drawing to win something cool. But I also did it because just thinking about all the Holiday goodies and the amount of time I spend trying to find them and eat them leaves me feeling depressed. So it's not about the weight, it's about the way I feel. I want to feel good this holiday season about the way I treat my body. I am thinking that my plan will be to have a sampling of all the good things but not to munch all day everyday on things that are almost 80% sugar. Yep, they are my weakness. So... wall sits and marpleasehelpmeuseselfcontrol, here I come.
(Mar mentioned that I should say this was Doug and not her writing this. She has more taste and writes about more need to know info)

Happy Holidays!

Snow Fun

Boise had a Snow Day. Yeah, I'm from Wyoming and we could have 5 feet of snow with super strong winds and they would NEVER cancel school. Boise gets about 8 inches and they call it a snow day. Funny. That doesn't affect us, however the snow was very fun. After I shoveled the driveway we made a snowman and our neighbor friend Lincoln let us ride around in his sled. We'll take more of those days please.

My birthday

I mentioned my birthday in the Thanksgiving post but it needed it's own space.
I was so spoiled by my family and friends this year. I am so grateful for the wonderful people in my life. I received many phone calls, texts, messages on facebook, gifts, and visits.
Since I was in Park City my family made waffles for breakfast, Amy and Joe took me shopping, my mom took me to get my haircut, and we went out to dinner that night.
Before I left Doug and I went out on a date! We went to Cheesecake Factory for some cheesecake of course and then we walked around the mall. Again, it was a wonderful way to turn 27!
And thank you again for making me feel so loved. Love you all back :)

I'm dreaming of a purple Christmas...

Yeah, it was that good. And for the price, it better be!!
I got to visit and stay the night with my best friend Lynds and her hubby Tyler. I stole these pictures from her blog. They had a surprise cake for me. They are the best!!! Both girls were very excited about the cake. Oh Katelyn's face cracks me up!
