Disneyland
I surprised Doug with a trip to Disneyland. Why? Because he turns 30 this year. His parents want to come and celebrate with us too. So we get to go with them. It will be so fun. We are going in two weeks even though Doug's birthday is in August. Right now he has 4 day weekends because he's only working part time. So it seemed like we should go while we can. My parents are going to come and watch the girls for us so we can go have a fun getaway. I'm so incredibly nervous to leave Katelyn. She's only 7 months and I just don't know what she will be like without mom around.
But the reason for this post is to get some ideas of what we need to do while we are there. We will have 2 days at Disneyland/California Adventure. What should we see and do while we are there?? Your comments are much appreciated! Thanks!

7 Months
Katelyn will be 7 months tomorrow. She just started sitting up yesterday! She is still a little shaky but we are excited about it. She's such a sweet baby! She still spits up all the time and I just don't know what to do about that. Any advice? She's on Zantac and I'm thinking about trying something more natural. I would love your thoughts...

Water Tower
Have you ever climbed up a water tower?
It's illegal.
I'm from Green River, Wyoming. Not much to do there I tell ya. My friends did climb water towers. I admit I went with them once. I know, I'm a rebel.
Well, Doug got to climb up the inside of one the other day at work. They needed the elevation from the top so he got harnessed in and up he went. Not a bad work day!

Photographers
Up until now we have had wonderful, talented friends that lived near us. They were photographers. They had nice cameras, good angles, great ideas, and again so much talent. We have been looking around Boise for someone to take 6 month pictures of Katelyn and 3 year pictures of Allie. To our surprise photographers charge between $250-$600 for pictures. Our dear friends never charged us more than $50. They are pretty great huh!?
So we decided to try some on our own. We don't have fancy lenses or flashes or cameras. We don't even have much light to work with. But we set up our own backdrops, made a make shift reflector to get more light and had ourselves a photo shoot. These are the results from our first try. Not too shabby. We plan on doing some family pictures and trying some more individual shots when the rain goes away and we get some sunshine.
It was fun.

New Years
We went to Sun Valley for New Years so we could play in some snow. It was FREEZING and play in the snow we did. We also played games with Doug's parents, walked around Sun Valley, ate tons of wonderful food and failed at making a New Year's bomb.
P.S. Katelyn was there for the festivities...however she was sleeping most of the time. We sure love that bug but she didn't make an appearance in any of our pictures. :( I will be better next time.

My mom was a good example for me. She always wrote thank you cards and showed how grateful she was for things. It was something she passed down to me and I hope to pass to my girls.
