I can read for enjoyment now!! This is my first book and it got me wondering. So I went and bought a drill to test it out. Just kidding. Mar got me a drill for graduation. It's not just a chintzy, wussy drill either. It's my drill of choice from my cabinet making days. This definitely wins her the coolest wife ever award. Love you Mar!

"Pa Plane Fly!"
Little Allie played co-pilot this week. She got to fly from Boise to Hailey with her Nan and Pa. She was so excited. She started to cry when the engine started but we were told she had a blast the rest of the way. We wish we could have seen her!

Pa's Plane (which Allie now refers to as "My Plane")

Two Beautiful Co-Pilots

Ding! Please fasten your seat belt.

We Made It!
The beautiful house we are renting from Larry and Luanne. It's just perfect...We love everything about it.
The last week in Spokane was so hard. We were living in a box jungle and realized how much we dislike moving. But it was all worth it. We arrived to Boise safe and sound and it was a smooth move. Luanne rode with the girls and Larry rode with Doug so the trip went very fast. We had wonderful help in Spokane and Boise and appreciated it so much (since I'm NO HELP AT ALL). Allie loves her "new house" and we love all the space and not having upstairs neighbors, etc...
We've been busy unpacking and getting somewhat organized. It has been so fun.
Doug turned his thesis in and will go back to Spokane to defend it in June. Then he will be officially done! Hooray!!!
Our new address is:
9596 W. Blue Meadows St.
Boise, ID 83709
Pend Oreille Shores
We spent our last weekend before moving at a beautiful lake front condo with Doug's grandparents and parents. It was so nice to spend that time together before we left. The weather was beautiful. The birds were fun to watch. The sandbox and pool were a hit. Thank you so much for the wonderful little vacation! We are going to miss you so much!

Four Generations

Allie finally went into the pool. She had a major death grip on Doug. The next day her Nan and Pa went in with her and she had a blast with them!

The sandbox. She could have spent all day in there. But she was still very careful not to get dirty.

Walking on the dock with mom and dad (I refuse to be in pictures right now...I'm too pregnant)

Doug's sunset picture. Just gorgeous!

Packin' Up
It's official. We are moving to Boise next Tuesday, May 18! Doug is still finishing things up with his thesis and his internship so he'll have to come back up to Spokane once or twice but I'm ready to move and get things in order before our baby girl arrives. We do not have a job yet, but this is where we need to be. So the job will come eventually. We have been packing like crazy this week. Allie actually LOVES it. She colors on the packed boxes, jumps on the flat boxes, and loves throwing stuff inside the boxes. I wonder if she really gets it.
We get to spend one more weekend with Doug's grandparents on Lake Pend' Oreille. So next time we blog we'll be in our new place. See ya then!

Mother's Day 2010
I'm thankful to be her mom.

This mother is a friend to all, has many hobbies, and amazing cook.

This mother is spic and span clean, works hard (mostly for her kids), and knows how to laugh.

"Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels." First Presidency, 1935

Small Joys...1
As much as I dislike the tantrums that come with this age...I love the small joys and excitement it brings.
This week I am going to focus on the small joys.
One thing she loves to do is clean with me.
She's best at cleaning the bathtub.

Spray bottle, check. Washcloth, check.

Check out that focus. She is very serious about her job. It's very important!
