Conversations

Conversations with Allie are so fun. She is just a pipsqueak adult. Today I was playing with Katelyn and Allie was "doin' her own thing." Here is the run-down.

Allie: "I'm gonna go get ready to go to the castle."
Me: "Okay."
Allie: "I need to shave (gets her plastic hammer and pretends to shave her face), do my make-up (gets her play-doh container and pretends to put blush and eyeshadow on), brush my teeth (again, uses the hammer to do this), floss (uses a silly band to floss her teeth). Now I'm all ready. I need to go to the castle to get a text."
Me: "A text? Okay, be safe!"
She goes running to the other room and is gone for a few minutes. Then she comes prancing back.
Allie: " I got my text from my grandmother at the castle. Now I need to go bowling. I'm lost. I need some help because I can't get to bowling."
Me: "That is a big problem. Do you have a map?"
Allie: "Hmmm, probably just need to go GPSin'."

Oh, I love her imagination and her language. What a crack up!

We love...

cheesy smiles, bundled walks, diva shades.
feeding the "birds" bird food.
the placement of Balentime's treats on Hello Kitty.
a good sitter, chewing on a curler...chewing on everything.
this big girl sitting in her highchair.
a sleeping beauty.
that look of, "Why are you doing this to me? Now I have no way to suck on anything because my hands are trapped, oh and I can't move either."
those fast hands grabbing the side of the swing and hanging on for dear life!

California Adventure

Such a cool place.
Seriously, so cool!
Pilot Larry and Co-pilot Luanne with Pilot Goofy

Hollywood
Tower of Terror. Okay, ALL of my friends say they LOVED this ride so I just had to go on it. The look on my face doesn't do my feelings any justice. I was scared out of my mind. I hated this ride so bad. Everyone else liked it for some strange reason, especially that guy in front of me!

California Screamin' was so awesome we went on it twice. This is our second time so we knew where the camera was and we played it up pretty good! Hahaha, I love it!
The food was so good...and so expensive!
Cute little Mickey. We love you.

Our favorites at California Adventure: Soarin' over California and California Screamin'. World of Color Water/Laser Night show. It was amazing. There is no way to describe it. Tower of Terror is NOT on that list in case you missed it earlier.

Disneyland

A much needed vacation.
A wonderful reason to celebrate.
Awesome company.
The BEST babysitters at home with the kids.
The most magical place + the happiest place.
Gorgeous weather.
Delicious food.
Good travels.
Wish we could go back...

Magical firework show
My best friend Stacey, her awesome husband Jason, and their adorable baby, Bailey.
They live in LA and have season tickets to Disneyland so we got to catch up and play a little.
She is so gorgeous and sweet and so is her daughter!
Minnie Mouse
Mickey Mouse himself. He was short!
The reason for the trip. Doug turns 30 in August!
Buzz, Buzz, Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!

Magic Kingdom

Our favorite rides at Disneyland: Space Mountain and Indiana Jones

Sweethearts

Happy Balentime's Day! This is what Allie said all day!
We were away from these sweethearts for 3 1/2 days and 3 nights. It was nice to have some time away but we sure did miss them.

We are in love with them.
The good, the bad, the ugly, the sweet...all of it.
Allie's Balentime's. She has been carrying these around for almost a week. She is a big fan!
Katelyn wearing her cousin Kenzie's Valentine outfit. SO CUTE!
Wishing she could eat a heart shaped grilled cheese and ham sandwich! Instead she had pureed bananas!
Waiting for her heart sugar cookie. Look at the excitement there!

New Curtains

I made some curtains for Allie's room when we lived in Spokane and now they work perfect in Katelyn's room. Allie's new room has a huge window, so we started a new project. Did you know they sell "black out fabric." It's awesome. I might have to buy some for Katelyn's now. We got the idea for these here. We adjusted her instructions quite a bit to make them work for us. But she is quite the genius when it comes to sewing and DIY projects.
We have finished the first panel and are still working on the second. They are so cute. I LOVE the fabric...A LOT!

I had one Valentine decoration that my sister in law Lisa made for us...that cute LOVE block. So we found a great, easy, cheap one to make. You need some red buttons, a hot glue gun, an empty frame, and we used some fabric for the background. Tah-dah! You're done. Allie even helped us, so it was a fun family project. The idea came from here.

Oh we are feeling the love this month! Doug got another part time job yesterday! We are definitely blessed in so many ways.

Look at this cute dinner. It was SO scrumptious and easy too.

Our current project: New curtains for Allie's room. Hopefully we'll show you soon!
