Goin' to the Farm

Fall is my favorite season. I just absolutely love it. Pumpkin patches are at the top of the list. Where were these when I was a kid?? We took the kids to the farm a few weeks ago and forgot our camera! So today we went for Allie's preschool field trip. It was a blast. The kids just love all the activities there. We went to The Farmstead this time and it's the best for little kids. They had animals, the pumpkin patch, a bouncing pillow (like a trampoline), hay maze, cow train, corn box, slides, spiderweb, and a few other things that we didn't get to. They are both out cold in their beds and I'm going to join them for a nap myself. It was exhausting!
What a fun truck! Look at all those cute kids minus Katelyn...she's cute but was in her stroller!
The pumpkins the girls chose. Allie wanted "a little, tiny one."
The Bounce Pillow
Katelyn put her face on the Bounce Pillow to feel the vibrations. She was giggling the whole time!
Finding our way through the hay maze. Endless room to romp around!
Allie and "Perry" the cow.
The cow train.
Katelyn couldn't ride the train but they had one she could sit in. She was happy with that!
The corn box is serious business.
The girls could have stayed in this box ALL day. I had to bribe them out with fruit snacks!

If spiders looked like that I would have them as pets!! :)

Ready for my attempts at a pumpkin picture with the girls?
#1. Katelyn is eating her fruit snacks and Allie has her cheesy smile.

#2. Climbing on the pumpkins...cute shot though!
#3. And we're done. Let's go eat lunch.

Note to self. Should have taken these pictures right when we arrived.

Our Abode

Yes, we love our house. It is so fun to always have something to work on. It's wonderful to have our own space to work on as we please.
I wanted to wait and take pictures until we were completely painted and decorated. But like that's ever gonna happen :) So you get what you get. It's very much a work in progress...but it gives you an idea.
This is the front room. We painted it (Behr Ocean Pearl), got the entertainment center off Craigslist and the recliner and couch are hand me downs from Doug's parents.
Then you walk down this hall into the next area...whoo hoo, here we go!
This is the family room. We painted it (Martha Stewart Moonshadow) and it looks out into our backyard.
The kitchen is right off the family room as you can see. It's even somewhat clean. That is a miracle. I love the island :)
The other part of the kitchen. We love our fridge given to us by my parents.
Garage shelves that Doug whipped out on Saturday. He's a stud, I know!
I LOVE STORAGE!!!
Right up the stairs there is a loft area which we LOVE. It's perfect for the computer because it's open but not right out in the open. Get where I'm coming from?? We painted it the same as the downstairs living room (Behr Ocean Pearl). It took us from 5PM-12AM to paint this room. It was hard because of the stairs.
Here are pictures of Doug painting above the stairs. I was freaking out...even though I was taking pictures. :)
We had to use Ben (our BIL's) ginormous ladder. I think it's called "The Little Giant."

That is all for now. I will keep updating you...when I can! The best way to see our house would be to come visit. So call now to schedule :)
