Chili in the Mountains

Our favorite fall tradition: Chili in the mountains. We invited some friends to join us this year and it was a great time! It was actually quite warm when we got up there but once the sun went down it was perfect for a fire. The kids were in heaven and I was reminded that we need to go exploring more often.
My kids (and probably all kids) could throw rocks in the river for hours...and in fact did!
I help the littles make a nest since there were a million pine needles. They found special things to put inside of it. So cute!
Went on an adventure and of course they wanted to climb the most dangerous part.
These 3 ran up the hill!
Allie was finding rocks and stuffing her pockets full...she's my little packrat!
Clay telling the kids about fire. He has a way of captivating any age audience. They were totally into it.
Trying our first Woof-ums! Delish!
The ladies: Me, Lisa, Serena, Kim, Vickie and little Devry
Katelyn found a "sweeper" (a fan of pine needles) and is obsessed with it!
