Once upon a time we loved to camp and be outside all the time. We have a tiny little tent that fits us so nice and snuggly. Then we had children and never camped again! The end.
Until...the ward campouts came along. Last year we borrowed a HUGE tent from someone in the ward and we all stayed and the kids slept great but we didn't. This year we still have just our little tiny tent so I suggested that Doug and Allie have a camping date and Katelyn and I would go up for the night and go back home to sleep (hehehahaha). We had a great time...exploring, chatting, listening to great music, smores, stories, games...then Katelyn and I took off and Doug and Allie stayed.
It was COLD that night...very cold. Allie was so excited she would just pop up out of bed and look around every now and then. They didn't sleep but it's all about the experience right!?

Ditto on the camping!! Shad and I LOVE camping, then the kiddos came along and we haven't gone since! Allie is so cute in those pictures... I love it! Haha.
ha ha, camping is harder with kids. we had to upgrade from a 4 man tent to an 8 man tent - just to fit the 4 of us. and sometimes i swear it is too small :-) love allie's poses!
