Photographers

Up until now we have had wonderful, talented friends that lived near us. They were photographers. They had nice cameras, good angles, great ideas, and again so much talent. We have been looking around Boise for someone to take 6 month pictures of Katelyn and 3 year pictures of Allie. To our surprise photographers charge between $250-$600 for pictures. Our dear friends never charged us more than $50. They are pretty great huh!?

So we decided to try some on our own. We don't have fancy lenses or flashes or cameras. We don't even have much light to work with. But we set up our own backdrops, made a make shift reflector to get more light and had ourselves a photo shoot. These are the results from our first try. Not too shabby. We plan on doing some family pictures and trying some more individual shots when the rain goes away and we get some sunshine.

It was fun.
Allie dancing around. Her pure personality.

This pose was all Allie. So innocent right!?
Katelyn with her whisk. Her favorite photo shoot prop.
Beautiful

Happy girl :)

WOW! I am impressed!! You guys are pros. I HATE paying lots of $$$ for pictures, which is why we have no professional ones, just ones our friends have snapped for us. You should post a pic of the light reflector, that sounds tempting to try...Again, good job!!

Good job guys! They look great and could very well pass for professionals. Your girls are so adorable. I love all your props and backdrops! It's ridiculous how much people charge for pictures. I've always tried to do my own too. FInally broke down and found someone to do it for $75 and was sooo disappointed, i could have done better myself!

These pictures are darling! You have inspired me to try to do pictures myself. My poor kid has never had a professional shot of him because it is just too darn expensive!
